cbh rail infrastructure upgrades

To improve Western Australia’s freight rail network, CLE Town Planning + Design is engaged by CBH to assist in securing planning approval for an array of rail infrastructure projects across regional Western Australia including sites in Broomehill, Cranbrook and Konnongorring as part of the joint Commonwealth and State Government funded WA Agricultural Supply Chain Improvements (ASCI) program. This includes successfully securing JDAP approval for the Broomehill rail siding and rail loading infrastructure upgrade project in 2022.
As Australia’s largest co-operative and a leader in the Australian grain industry, CBH have operations extending along the value chain from grain storage, handling, transport, marketing and processing and these works are vital for the regions and the resource economy more broadly.

CLE Town Planning + Design provided ongoing planning support and advice to Port Hedland International Airport (PHIA). CLE Town Planning + Design has assisted PHIA to secure approvals for the new taxiway and runway as well as development of the Highway Precinct - a 38 hectare industrial area abutting the airside operations of PHIA.

On behalf of Compass Group, CLE Town Planning + Design coordinated and secured development approval through the Regional Joint Development Assessment Panel for a 208-room expansion to the existing Kambalda Village workforce accommodation facility.
The project will facilitate the upgrade of existing accommodation facilities as well as a new dining hall and tavern, assisting to generate jobs and economic activity in the region and providing and improved service offering to the Kambalda community.

Clean Energy Fuels Australia
As the first application lodged and approved under WAPC’s State Development Assessment Unit pathway, CLE Town Planning + Design assisted Clean Energy Fuels Australia (CEFA) secure development approval for its Liquefied Natural Gas Plant in Mount Magnet. This involved assisting to commission and compile the necessary technical reporting and progress the application through an untested assessment pathway.
Approval was secured well-within the necessary timeframe and with minimal conditions.
