Two separate clients, keen to develop land in the north-east and south-west corridors for residential purposes, called upon CLE to review the WAPC’s Urban Growth Monitor (UGM) and, in particular, the meaning of “land supply’ in that context.

It required the application of a critical planning lens to determine whether our clients’ land could be developed as they wished, and factors relevant to the timing and ability to deliver the land.

The Social Housing Economic Recovery Package was part of a $444 State Government housing stimulus program released in mid-2020.

CLE was engaged by the Department of Communities to undertake due diligence to inform the acquisition of strategic sites across metropolitan Perth, to be earmarked for social housing.

r-codes practice notes

When the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage was introducing new R-Codes, it called upon CLE’s experience in interpreting and implementing the R-Codes to provide the first iteration of the R-Codes Practice Notes.

These notes, designed for planning practitioners, designers and homeowners, included textual and diagrammatic clarification of the most commonly misinterpreted and debated  R-Code standards.
