CLE Town Planning + Design obtained planning approval for the Surfing WA Headquarters at Trigg Beach. The Headquarters will support professional surfing, development coaching, education, competition event coordination and grassroots surfing lessons.

This unique planning proposal involved a lease arrangement, partially located within the foreshore and within land reserved for Parks and Recreation. CLE Town Planning + Design had to ensure that documentation supporting the proposal demonstrated that the use of the land was consistent with the objectives of the reserve and would provide benefit to the community.

CLE Town Planning + Design as the lead planner was critical in securing this approval. CLE Town Planning + Design navigated a unique planning process, with extensive liaison with key stakeholders including the City of Stirling, City of Stirling Design Review Panel and the DPLH, as well as a presentation at the Statutory Planning Committee.
