BUILDING OUR LEGACY
When a young Peter Chappell started his own planning and design consultancy in 1978, Perth was a city of less than a million people, most lived on quarter acre blocks and the controversial Corridor Plan for Perth was the framework for metropolitan growth.
Talented town planner Tony Lambert joined Peter Chappell and, together, their emerging team delivered new landmark communities in a period of rapid growth for Perth and the regions.
It didn’t take long to build a strong client base, including all major land developers, and to expand, with a new partner in Ian Everett joining the Subiaco firm.
Strategic relationships with government, astute commercial acumen, positive collaborations, and genuine community engagement were all hallmarks of Chappell Lambert Everett from the earliest years, as it helped shape Perth with new and innovative masterplanned communities.
Those core characteristics live on in the CLE Town Planning + Design of today.
The name pays homage to the legacy of those founding fathers, and its modern studio in West Leederville is not far from where it all began.
