On behalf of Compass Group, CLE Town Planning + Design coordinated and secured development approval through the Regional Joint Development Assessment Panel for a 301-room expansion to the existing Waypoint Village workforce accommodation facility.
The project will facilitate the upgrade of existing accommodation and associated common facilities, assisting to address the current shortage of non-permanent worker accommodation in Port Hedland which in doing so will provide a range of social and economic benefits for the local community and support ongoing investment in the region.

The project will facilitate the upgrade of existing accommodation facilities as well as a new dining hall and tavern, assisting to generate jobs and economic activity in the region and providing and improved service offering to the Kambalda community.

As the first application lodged and approved under WAPC’s State Development Assessment Unit pathway, CLE Town Planning + Design assisted Clean Energy Fuels Australia (CEFA) secure development approval for its Liquefied Natural Gas Plant in Mount Magnet. This involved assisting to commission and compile the necessary technical reporting and progress the application through an untested assessment pathway.
Approval was secured well-within the necessary timeframe and with minimal conditions.

CLE Town Planning + Design assisted our Client to locate and secure a lease agreement over an appropriate site to develop their prototype Bulk Ore Shuttle System. CLE Town Planning + Design prepared and lodged a development application for the prototype facility, securing development approval under both the Shire of Murray’s local planning scheme and the Peel Region Scheme.
