CBH Rail Infrastructure Upgrades

CBH Group

To improve Western Australia’s freight rail network, CLE is engaged by CBH to assist in securing planning approval for an array of rail infrastructure projects across regional Western Australia including sites in Broomehill, Cranbrook and Konnongorring as part of the joint Commonwealth and State Government funded WA Agricultural Supply Chain Improvements (ASCI) program. This includes successfully securing JDAP approval for the Broomehill rail siding and rail loading infrastructure upgrade project in 2022.

As Australia’s largest co-operative and a leader in the Australian grain industry, CBH have operations extending along the value chain from grain storage, handling, transport, marketing and processing and these works are vital for the regions and the resource economy more broadly.

Through a collaborative approach with key stakeholders and regulatory authorities, CLE continues to support the strategic expansion of PHIA, ensuring that future development aligns with broader economic objectives for the Pilbara region. This includes facilitating efficient planning pathways, managing approval processes, and providing advice on land use integration to maximise the operational and commercial potential of the Airport and its surrounding precincts.
