To improve Western Australia’s freight rail network, CLE is engaged by CBH to assist in securing planning approval for an array of rail infrastructure projects across regional Western Australia including sites in Broomehill, Cranbrook and Konnongorring as part of the joint Commonwealth and State Government funded WA Agricultural Supply Chain Improvements (ASCI) program. This includes successfully securing JDAP approval for the Broomehill rail siding and rail loading infrastructure upgrade project in 2022.

As Australia’s largest co-operative and a leader in the Australian grain industry, CBH have operations extending along the value chain from grain storage, handling, transport, marketing and processing and these works are vital for the regions and the resource economy more broadly.

The Oyster Harbour Estate is a former Department of Housing (now Development WA) residential estate that fronts the shores of Oyster Harbour, located only 8km north of the Albany City Centre.

CLE Town Planning + Design was tasked with preparing an Outline Development Plan to guide the delivery of approximately 2700 residential lots, primary schools, community and commercial centres and a number of landscaped and natural open space areas. Careful planning saw the retention of the natural attributes of the site, including the protection of quality vegetation and wetlands, with the design embracing the natural topography to offer residents views over Oyster Harbour itself.
